The lathe is intended for machining of commutators mounted on rotors of electric motors.
The machine basically consists of a main support part, the rotor and the knife supports being driven by electric servomotors SIEMENS with full support of NC control system SIEMENS SINUMERIC 840 D. The machine also features a brushing section that removes metal shavings and deburrs the commutator surface by means of two rotating brushes. The lathe has been designed as a stand-alone workplace, nevertheless, it can be equipped with a bin for semiproducts or it can integrated into a production line.
The machine can be modified according to specific requirements of the customer. Both the construction and the control and manipulation components can be specifically tailored to meet the customer’s needs.

Double-Arbor NC Lathe:
The lathe is intended for machining of commutators for electric motors, but it can be used as well for machining of other rotary parts of similar type, ie. cylindrical parts allowing the machining of both inner and outer cylindrical surfaces and both front surfaces.
The applied control system SIEMENS SINUMERIC provides for easy programming (NC support) of machining process, ie. modification of cutting conditions during operation of the machine.
After being equipped with a bin for semiproducts, the machine can be used in attendance-free operation (only occasional check of production quality and replenishing of semiproducts required).
The machine can be integrated into a production line.
